I really liked how flexible the job allowed us to be, and they supported our independence. We were able to basically set our own hours.
What I wish was different
Making it a full-time job instead of part-time.
Advice
Make sure you are very organized! We had to keep track of our own hours, so that was a new learning experience.

The pay could have been higher honestly but the overall experience was very good

Reach out to professors and keep close contact with them. I was lucky to get this opportunity in the midst of a pandemic because I was always in contact with professors.

What I liked
I liked having work autonomy, and making a work plan for myself. I assessed the immediecy and the importance of each of my major tasks and broke them down into daily and weekly goals. I also really enjoyed learning more about Carlisle and it's complicated history.

Advice
Make it a priority to have overall achievable goals for your research, breaking these down into weekly, and daily goals will help you achieve more and stay on track .
