Deseret Ranches

About Deseret Ranches

We are farmers and ranchers. We enjoy producing food and making our living in agriculture. We are proud that our products end up on dinner tables around the country. Like most people in agriculture, we have dedicated our lives to this pursuit because we love the lifestyle, the tradition, and the people.

We have been part of Central Florida since 1950, and we value our role as a community partner and environmental steward. The Ranch sets and follows lofty standards and places importance on family, community, and tradition. We strive to be world-class in all we do, from cattle production to environmental protection to treatment of our employees.
As a long time landowner in Central Florida, we are committed to helping this region grow and thrive. This is not just where we work – it is where we live and raise our families. We buy, sell, and hire locally whenever possible. We reach out to support community initiatives. We collaborate with local governments and water management districts on water projects and environmental issues, like Taylor Creek Reservoir and the Jug Island retention area. We actively manage a county-sized landscape of rich natural resources, and we look to the future and support long-range planning initiatives.

We hope this site will acquaint you with the Ranch’s agricultural operations, environmental pursuits and community involvement. We look forward to continuing to work with our friends and neighbors to help make Central Florida a great place to live. If you have any questions or would like to learn more about Deseret Ranch, please feel free to contact us.

Ranch Management Intern

May 2020 - August 2020 Council Grove, KS
“We worked hard and got started very early, but the work was very enjoyable. There was a lot of time spent on horseback and handling cattle. I got to learn a lot of finer points about managing a large cow herd and I was able to expand my hands-on skills.”

July 2019 Woodruff, UT
“The management sets you up for success. ”
