I would say that a job may seem crappy but if you stick with it good things will come from the experience.

I wish there was less religious imagery everywhere.

Advice

Do not judge somebody too quickly off their exterior, there were plenty of great people I met who on their exterior may seem mean or uncool, but they ended up being great.

What I liked

This is the second place I've ever worked, and it was nice knowing that Deseret Industries is a job training workplace, which meant that i wasn't the only person who was still learning and sometimes struggling. This was especially comforting as I was experiencing extreme anxiety this summer, and I was grateful to work somewhere where I felt I could talk to my boss about my anxiety without worrying about it endangering my job.

What I wish was different

The first few days were rough. I hardly saw my boss at all and had no idea what I was supposed to be doing. But once I got to know my co-workers and finally caught on as to what my responsibility actually was, I really enjoyed it.

Advice

The work is easy, the training for people who are new to the workforce is excellent, but there is not a lot of one-on-one support if that is what you're expecting at a job-training program.
