About Department of Police Accountability

The DPA is a civilian staffed oversight agency that investigates complaints against law enforcement members in SFPD. Our main goal is to provide a transparent and structured process so that civilians are heard and that failures of SFPD policies are properly resolved. By working with the communities and the individual civilians of the County and City of San Francisco, we hope to keep accountable and build trust in SFPD.
