What I liked

It was a collaborative environment that let you test out multiple aspects of the mechanical engineering role at a contracting company. There was always something new to learn if you put the work in yourself.

What I wish was different

Being contract work, there were lulls in work occasionally, so a large majority of time would be spent self learning something, it would be nice to try and work for some other branches or at least interact with on site visits.

Advice

Put in all the effort you can. If you have free time, use it to learn, you are being paid, so might as well take advantage of the software and opportunities there.

The people are awesome! They really cared about me learning more about the field. I also found a really enjoy HVAC and Plumbing systems.

Try something new! You never know what you will end up falling in love with.
