I really enjoyed having the managerial position in order to advise my peers and coworkers. It was a really fun and helpful growing experience.
What I wish was different
Because I am a woman I feel like some of my employees didn’t treat me with respect, especially because I’m alot younger than them. So sometimes it was difficult to maintain authority.
Advice
I would say not to let your personal life or personal issues get in the way of doing your job. If you can not work due to personal issues and you come to work upset or irritated it makes your work day along with everyone else’s difficult. Stay home and meditate, taking a few days off to take care of your self. It’s healthier then torturing yourself with a 10 hour + shift.
