The city of Dearborn is a city inside of southeast Michigan that covers 24.5 square miles and is home to nearly 100,000 residents. In addition to Patrol and the Detective Bureau, the Department maintains a number of specialized units including: SWAT, Bomb Squad, Traffic Safety Bureau, Canine Unit, Surveillance Unit, Narcotics Unit, and a Community Policing Unit.
