Tax Intern

What I liked

I enjoyed the hands on experience and opportunities to complete actual tax returns on my own. I liked the independence of the internship; I chose my own hours. In addition to the independence, though, there were multiple resources constantly available when I did need assistance or guidance.

What I wish was different

Truly, no aspect of the internship structure or environment was not appealing to me. Even throughout the coronavirus pandemic, Dean Dorton treated us with so much respect and kindness, making the internship as amazing as possible.

Advice

Ask questions and go the extra mile. These are the things that make an intern stand out; no one expects you to know everything, so show your interest and commitment to learning by asking questions & staying the extra hour.
