What I liked

The staff at Dealer Authority is nothing but kind and helpful. Anyone would be happy to teach you something or answer any questions you may have. I loved the creative freedom they gave me in my projects and I liked having a wide variety of tasks I was working on.

What I wish was different

I noticed I really enjoyed getting feedback on my work, I think a lot of the employees were grateful for my help but I would have loved if they gave me feedback rather than fixing my mistakes themselves.

Advice

I found that writing down my tasks and how I did them was helpful to look back on for future projects I worked on. Never be afraid to ask for clarification on different tasks you work on and be sure to embrace the amazing people that work here!

Digital Marketing Intern

What I liked

As the second intern at the company, I really enjoyed how personal it felt. Everyone really made an effort to show me the ropes, have me shadow calls with clients, and give me more responsibilities. My supervisors were great about answering all of the questions that I had as well. Another thing I like is that they really prioritize showing you different aspects of the company. I mostly work on the social media aspect, but I have learned a lot about SEO and help out with projects on that side of things as well. The overall atmosphere is fantastic as well--despite it being a remote company everyone is pretty close-knit which makes calls within the company very enjoyable. I highly recommend this internship to anyone interested in the digital marketing field, it's a great opportunity!

What I wish was different

Sometimes I wish that it were in-person so I could get the chance to meet everyone. Additionally some more training materials could have been useful, but those are in the process now so they should be ready for new interns.

Advice

I was originally apprehensive because I don't know a lot about the automotive industry, but applied on a whim and have no regrets. So if you are interested in the digital marketing avenue you should apply!

What I liked

Dealer Authority gives you the opportunity to explore multiple areas of digital marketing. The employees are kind and were willing to help with anything I needed. Positive energy flows throughout the company, and DA really values taking care of their employees. Dealer Authority allowed me to emerge into the digital marketing industry by using different types of software for a multitude of jobs. DA is flexible and was always considerate about my schedule.

What I wish was different

I think a more structured intern schedule could be beneficial for preparing myself for the workday.

Advice

My piece of advice would be to take everything in. I was able to learn so much during my time at DA and I am very grateful. Because DA gives you hands-on experience, it is important to not get overwhelmed but rather utilize that opportunity to extend your knowledge of digital marketing.
