What I liked

I liked how helpful and patient my supervisor was. This was my first internship and I was very nervous about it, but my supervisor had offered and calm and welcoming environment and is always willing to answer any questions I have.

What I wish was different

I wish this internship could have been in person. I would have loved to meet other people and interns working with Day One NY.

Advice

Don’t be scared to ask for help from your supervisor. They want you to have a great learning experience while you are working with them. Also talk to other employees that work in other departments of Day One NY, it’s a great way to explore career option if you are someone who is not entirely sure what they want to do after graduation and it is actually encouraged by your supervisor.

What I liked

I liked that I was able to work on my own projects freely, and that I was able to have open, honest conversations with high-level management about their fundraising strategies. Day One's willingness to listen to my ideas made me feel like I was making a real difference.
