What I liked
I enjoyed learning more about abuse victims and the process of the involvement in the community with leaders.
What I wish was different
I wish I could have been more involved and interactive with the cases, rather than babysitting children in the waiting area.
Advice
I wouldn't recommend this for an intern site, because you don't have much room for learning anything new and interesting.

What I liked
I liked how helpful the staff at DCAC was and the positive environment that was encouraged for the children and their families
What I wish was different
I wish I could’ve spent more time or learned more about the legal process of things outside of taking care of the kids
Advice
I think this is a great internship to experience especially is someone is wanting to work with kids. It’s a small way to expose yourself to the abuse that kids go through without being fully submerged and becoming overwhelmed

I loved the fact that I was really hands on with kids and that anytime I had a question anyone was willing to answer it help when I needed something.
