Daifuku North America's Automotive Systems have kept the automotive industry moving for nearly a century. Our history is our foundation. Our technology is the future.
When it comes to material handling systems, there's only one company that can say it changed the face of automobile manufacturing - Daifuku North America. In 1919, Jervis B. Webb (subsidiary of Daifuku North America) adapted a rivetless chain conveyor used in the mining business to the rugged needs of the automotive industry. It wasn't long before Henry Ford installed 30 miles of Webb conveyor in his plants around the country - increasing productivity, lowering costs and revolutionizing the way cars were built. Across the world, Daifuku installed the first chain conveyor system to Toyota in 1957.
But our expertise extends far beyond conveyors. Our equipment is used in pressing, welding, painting, assembly, parts storage and supply.
