The projects I worked on were very diverse and interdisciplinary. I learned a ton of things about several different work streams in the company. I loved that our summer client was Google. We (the group of interns) had access to many great amenities offered to Google employees. We had a lot of fun and got a lot of work done.
What I wish was different
While I appreciated the autonomy of my work and their trust in me, I wish that there had been more critical feedback on what I could improve on. I also think the company had a little too much on its plate.
Advice
Jump into random projects, even if you feel like you know nothing about it. They're very willing to teach you and work with you as you learn things. I found out that I liked coding, which is something I had never even tried before. Work hard and have fun.

Global Occupier Services Summer Intern
June - August 2019 • San Jose, CA
What I liked
I was introduced to how global leadership collaborates with their team, and the level of importance they place on discussing how to improve performance with their client, Adobe. They treated their responsibility to Adobe as a top priority: to provide performance to exceed Adobe’s expectations. It was highly educating to see this first hand, by being treated and acknowledged as one of the global leadership team members, attending highly confidential meetings, and being involved in discussions. I imagine that kind of experience does not happen all the time in other companies.
What I wish was different
Though it was their first time having facility management interns, and the internship was a new experience for them, I would have liked more benefits, similar or matching to other accounts that C&W manages. Such as, benefits provided to C&W interns at Google.
Advice
From my experience, I would advise to go into the internship and commit to a goal to always LOOK for tasks and projects that add to your team, and your education. I was given opportunites to take on projects that i have NEVER had previous experience to. I accepted them, and they became my most proud work.
