Cultural Survival

About Cultural Survival

Cultural Survival advocates for Indigenous Peoples rights and supports Indigenous communities’ self-determination, cultures and political resilience. Our work is predicated on the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. We engage opportunities to leverage our experience and leadership in advocacy, media, public education, programs, and in providing platforms to amplify and empower the voices of Indigenous Peoples as they work to claim their rights to self-determination, their lands, cultures, and precious ecosystems that are essential to the whole planet.

Reviews

Research & Publications and Advocacy Intern

May 2019 - August 2019 Cambridge, MA
“I got to learn about and experience many different ways to support Indigenous Peoples, from going to an open forum at the MA State House to assisting at the annual Bazaar that hosts all Indigenous artists.”

Bazaar Intern

May 2019 - August 2019 Cambridge, MA
“I really enjoyed my internship with Cultural Survival. It was very hands on and I could see how the work I did helped in the planning and preparation of the bazaars. Attending the bazaars and having the chance to work with talented artists from around the world was a truly unique experience. As an intern at CS you will feel like part of the community, people were always telling me how much they appreciated the work I did. I recommend talking to your higher up and arranging a schedule that works for you. They were very accommodating with hours while I was working an additional job. I highly recommend this internship!”
