CueBack

Sales Development Representative

May - September 2020 • San Francisco, CA

What I liked

CueBack is the perfect place to spend a summer internship, particularly for those interested in sales. The CEO, Arnie Papp, has 20+ years experience in relationship selling and is eager to share his wisdom and knowledge of what it takes to be a successful sales person with anyone who will listen. As an intern at CueBack, you will be given real responsibilities and every intern will be counted on to pull their own weight. As a sales intern, you will go through a training program where the CEO will walk you through the steps of speaking and pitching to a client. Sales interns are involved in lead generation, outbound and inbound sales, and product development. As a sales intern, I got the chance to sit in on product demos between Arnie and some of the top universities in the United States. If you are interested in working in sales, and want an internship that gives you the opportunity to pitch to big clients, I would highly recommend an internship with CueBack.

What I liked

Over the past couple of months, I have had the pleasure as working as a Sales Development Representative intern at Cueback. From the beginning, I was given tasks and projects that gave me hands-on experience in the sales industry. Working in a startup allowed me endless opportunities to learn and grow in several areas of the company. One of the best things about Cueback was how inclusive and encouraging everyone. My assignments, and access to resources and knowledge did not make me feel like an intern, but an asset to the company, which has been a very rewarding feeling. Often times our CEO Arnie Papp would personally take the time to call me and educate on the company as well as sales tactics from his personal experience. I have taken away an incremental amount of knowledge from my co-workers and higher ups, and look forward to continuing my internship in the fall!

What I liked

I loved my experience working at CueBack as a Marketing Strategy Intern. Working in a start-up environment was a really cool opportunity to get hands-on experience in many different projects and departments. As a marketing intern, I was not confined to just marketing tasks, I was able to gain experience in both sales and product development as well! My favorite part about working at CueBack was how much the company cared about us learning and developing skills that will be beneficial to our careers. I received so much support and mentorship while also being given a lot of responsibility to have a real impact on the company.

Graphic Designer Intern

August 2019 • Palo Alto, CA

What I liked

Since working at CueBack, my knowledge and skills in the Graphic Design industry have grown immensely. From the get-go, I was able to learn-by-doing on projects that immediately went into effect, from blog post graphics and one-pager layouts, to my projects today that incorporate much more UI/UX elements for website and mobile applications. At CueBack, the emphasis is put on how much learning you can get out our your experience, but also on your time with a company that wants to work with your schedule for your benefit. I'm extremely grateful for my internship experience here, and cannot wait to further grow with the company.

Advice

With an emphasis on learning at CueBack, don't be afraid to ask to dabble in areas that are new and you want to expand on. The work put in at CueBack is very collective from the team as a whole, where you have opportunities to work in areas outside your specific job title. Thus, my advice is to take those opportunities and learn from your peers!
