Math Supplemental Instructor

What I liked

I liked working with the students and being be a helpful resource to them. Also, I liked the instructor I was assigned to. He was friendly, funny, and easy to work with. Being an SI is a great way to get to know more instructors to build your network and make friends with your students when your term is over!

What I wish was different

I wish I would've worked full-time instead of part-time. I loved being an SI.

Advice

This job requires you to grasp and master math concepts. Choose which math course you want to instruct wisely, because most likely you will be assigned to that course. If you have a hard time with pre-calculus, but are very good at statistics, choose statistics. And be comfortable with your students so that you can help them succeed!
