What I liked

I love the baking part of the job and the fun, positive atmosphere. Being a shift lead also gave me a leadership role which I found to enjoy. Having the responsibility allowed me to realize the importance of team work in a whole new aspect of the work field.

What I wish was different

The manager was definitely a struggle and was personally favoring employees while punishing others. He seemed a little to young for a management role in my opinion and din't take the job seriously and struggled to show respect to both employees and the workers. Also we didn't get to keep our cash tips and the owners kept them saying it was for our "snacks" which we hardly had stocked.

Advice

Though every job is difficult in their own ways, don't be afraid to stand up for yourself especially when you see a probably that needs to be fixed. As a lead role, I personally realized that it is important to get input from your team members in order to maintain a happy, fun work environment.
