Crumbl Cookies

Assitant Manager

December 2022 • Bend, OR

What I liked

Working for Crumbl Cookies has been one of the greatest job experiences I have had to date. The staff is supportive and wonderful, and the managers really try to give everyone in school a schedule that works with their classes. I love baking on my free time and to be paid to have fun while working is wonderful.

What I wish was different

I do wish this job offered more benefits and paid vacation would be nice but that is up to the higher ups. Sometimes the job can be stressful if crew members call out and the rest of the team is struggling to keep up with the demand for cookies as more customers line up out the door but that happens at most jobs, so I make the best out of it.

Advice

Working as a team in order to get operations done is some of the best advice for jobs like this. I would recommend this job to others that like baking and are looking for a job that works around student's school schedules.

What I liked

I loved the challenging experience that this job has given me. I had never worked in a bakery before this, and the fast-paced, exciting environment was an enjoyable challenge. I was also promoted to shift lead, which allowed to me take responsibility and learn how to lead a team while also meeting all the goals we needed in meet in an efficient manner.

What I wish was different

Not much! I started with the store as soon as it opened, which made the learning curve very steep, as none of the bakers really knew what we were doing. However, this chaotic beginning to the job taught me and the other bakers how to proactively seek help when we knew we needed it and also how to develop the skills to learn on our own.

Advice

Jobs like this one are all about initiative and working hard and efficiently. When in this sort of an environment, your hard work will not go unnoticed by your boss, either. Pour yourself into your work and it will be far more enjoyable when you see a job well done in the end.
