I was given the chance to learn many aspects of the Commercial side of construction.
What I wish was different
I wish I had been offered a full time position.
Advice
I would try feeling around other companies

Safety Inern
December 2018 • Columbus, KS
What I liked
Awesome experience I got to travel to jobs all around the Midwest ranging from a couple hundred thousand dollar jobs to upwards of 80 million dollar jobs. I saw all aspects of construction whether it was heavy construction or general construction I saw it all through Crosslands sister company Crossland Heavy Contractors. The people are awesome I got to learn a lot from people of all areas of construction not just safety related. If you show them how hard you will work and put effort out they reward you and show you how hard work does pay off.
What I wish was different
Overall I can't complain about anything.
Advice
Don't be afraid to talk to people around you I learned so much just by going and saying hi to different people throughout the company and talking with them and learning what they were doing. I broadened my knowledge from asking questions.

Construction Intern
May - August 2019 • Rogers, AR
What I liked
Good experience in construction and hands-on field work.
What I wish was different
I wanted more project management related construction experience.
Advice
Go with crossland as a first internship if you are a freshman or sophomore. Do not have more than one internship with them because there are other companies that offer internships with project management oriented experiences.

Construction Project Manager Intern
May - August 2018 • Wichita, KS
What I liked
I loved the experinces I was able to have at the internship. Those that I had most interns that have worked for them did not have the experince I had.
What I wish was different
I asked several times to work in the field on the constrution site, but was not ever given the opportunity.
Advice
If you are even slightly interested in the opportunity take it. Experince is a good thing that employeres look for experince.
