It’s a confortable job but you feel like you are contributing to the community. Like providing a public service by informing people about their local government. Likewise, through the job I continue to learn a great deal about my local government.
What I wish was different
I wish I could schedule work around school better, but the job operates around the government meeting schedule and is quite rigid. During the regular school year it is hard to get assigned to meetings regularly,
Advice
Take advantage of the oportunity and become informed about the goings on of your local government. As a student it is easy to network with some very influential people because they want to be seen helping you.
