Leadership Internship

June - August 2018 • Tigard, OR

What I liked

We were able to make the internship our own while also gaining a lot of leadership experience in the retail environment. Plus, my mentors and co-workers were amazing.

What I wish was different

The only thing I would change would be to not have as long of a commute to work.

Advice

Always say yes. Take advantage of any knowledge or advice that your mentor gives you and always be willing to try something new and different.

Store Leadership Intern

May - August 2018 • Tucson, AZ

What I liked

I liked that the internship was rotational. I was able to experience all aspects of being in store.

What I wish was different

During the management rotation I unfortunately didn't have access to any of the managerial duties like overriding transactions, accessing dashboard which was a system we used to track our daily goals, etc. So it made it difficult to fully immerse myself into the position.

Advice

One piece of advice I would share about this experience is don't look past an in-store internship position. There is a lot of opportunity working at store level and I gained so much knowledge that will be beneficial where ever I work.

Store Management Intern

May - August 2018 • Costa Mesa, CA

What I liked

What I wish was different

Advice

Get involved and always put yourself in new situations. That is how I got as much as I did out of this internship. Another piece of advice I would give it ask for the things you want!! I ended up working the last month of the internship mostly on the Visual Merchandising team because I asked for it and told them this is the rotation that interested me the most!
