As a pre-law student, I enjoyed learning about the different types of filings, paperwork and cases in Family Law, and creating case profiles gave me hands-on experience with each type.
What I wish was different
I wish it had been in-person, but I appreciated the flexibility of a remote internship (due to COVID).
Advice
Flexibility is key! I would also, due to the nature of CASA cases, take time to prepare emotionally for the content and cases you'll engage with.

What I liked
Loved the people I worked with and the atmosphere of the office. I also loved being able to help advocate for children who needed it. Lastly, all of the little activities we did outside of the office including, tabling at the farmers market and training sessions once a month.
What I wish was different
Advice
Take advantage of your time there and build relationships. Also ask as many questions as you need to.
