My team at Countryside has become more like a family over the last four years. We have a very strong staff, and each member of our team is not only dedicated to their practice but is also willing to assist others in need. I have continued to learn so much through hands on experiences and interactions with senior staff members and veterinarians. This allowed me to gain confidence in client communication while also expanding my knowledge in the veterinary field. I would not be the person I am today without their support from the beginning.
What I wish was different
I only wish I could have worked full time for a longer duration in order to develop my skills, with the goal of becoming a veterinary technician. However, being a seasonal employee, I was always able to pick up shifts when I was available and make the most of my time there.
Advice
One thing I have learned through experience is to always check your work, in addition to others', multiple times - especially if you have any doubts. We are all human, and we make mistakes - even the veterinarians! Just because you are young and may have less experience doesn't mean you can't catch mistakes! Trust your instincts.
