What I liked

I have worked at Cornerstone, CPA since my junior year of college. I recently graduated this past May, and I am continuing to work for Wendy until I begin my full-time job in January 2023. This job was one of the best decisions I made during my college career. Wendy has been the best teacher and mentor. This job offers real experience filing tax returns. I was able to apply my knowledge from my college courses, and it was the best learning experience. Working two busy seasons allowed me to work on my time management skills and organizational skills. I always felt comfortable to ask questions to continue to learn throughout this internship. I highly recommend Cornerstone, CPA!

What I wish was different

Going into this experience during the pandemic, I was worried about the remote experience aspect. Quickly, I learned there was no need to worry. Wendy made sure we had the right equipment to complete our work as well as always feel comfortable to ask to set up a meeting. The virtual experience made this internship all the better!

Advice

If you are an accounting major, this is the best internship to do! It is manageable with a full course load and extracurricular activities. I was highly involved on campus throughout college, and I was able to continue to do all my homework and activities as well as this internship. This internship also offers experience that can help with eventually obtaining your CPA licensure.
