Microbiology Research Intern

June - July 2018 • Ithaca, NY

What I liked

I gained valuable research experience and learned new lab techniques that can be applied to my career and possible research in the future.

What I wish was different

I wish I had time to develop a much more thorough research project.

Advice

Prior to my experience I had never been to the east coast and didn't feel comfortable spending a month in New York. My advice would be to take the risk and do things you normally aren't comfortable with, because you may never have the opportunity later in life.
