It was an amazing way to connect with other students and learn about a variety of careers working with ethical businesses in ways that would not ordinarily be offered to students. I was able to gain valuable working experience while also having the support of a cohort during my first summer internship away from home.

What I liked
The job gave me practical experience working in the nonprofit sector but also gave me a chance to learn about the different factors that go into community economic development.
What I wish was different
I had some issues with overall communication with the administration but found it a good experience overall.
Advice
It's important to find your interest in the projects you're given- try and tailor your experience to fit whatever you find most interesting.
