Lab assistant
May - August 2018 • New York City, NY
What I liked
Even though I work as a lab assistant in hydroponics and aquaponics lab, actually I did a lot work in business and education. And the most appealing part in this internship was that you got the chance to see the outcome of the efforts you put in the most advanced technology in agriculture -- hydroponics.
What I wish was different
I hope the work could be more time efficient. Because as a Cornell student, I get used to high-speed and fast-paced work, which sometimes in the lab work were sometimes layback and I think during which we could do much more other things to fulfill the internship.
Advice
I think it is to find your interest and the meaning of this internship such how you improve yourself, what you learn and what your job contributes to the society. Sometimes, even though you found it was not what you wanna do in the middle of the internship, don't bother try to energize and motivate yourself by doing thing that interest and meaningful to you.
