I very much liked my responsibilities and the experience I had in the firm. I was in charge of the early stages of a variety of deals from deal origination to deal underwriting and banker calls. I was exposed to not only the skills to navigate through the tasks but also the knowledge in multiple industries. Also, my supervisors were extremely thoughtful and the workplace was hospitable. I saw myself grow up tremendously, professionally and personally.
What I wish was different
I wish there was more structure to the projects. The projects were sometimes assigned to one intern for underwriting and then assigned to another for modelling and banker call. Sometimes I would have loved to follow through with the deals I sourced and worked on the underwriting for.
