The professor and other graduate students, post-doctoral fellows are very helpful, they are approachable and great listeners. They taught and assisted me a lot to fulfill my needs. The professor who runs the lab holds 1-on-1 meetings with students twice, one during mid-way and one at the end. I had a lot of chances to conduct experiments, analyze data and present the research
What I wish was different
I was required to go run experiments outdoors, and sometimes the schedule was a bit hectic especially when the weather was extreme. I wish we could have more organized plan.
Advice
Communication is key! Talk to your project leader what you want to do and get out of the internship, they will do their best to accommodate you!
