I loved the entire experience. I learned phlebotomy and telemetry.

I wished the externship was longer but because of Covid, it was cut short

Just because you assigned to a nurse, don’t be afraid to ask other nurses if you can help them and watch things they do.

Per diem requires a certain amount of shifts on the weekend, wish it was more flexible for during the week.
Advice
Make sure to ask questions to know all of the requirements, ins & outs of the hospital, etc.

I became so close to all of my coworkers. We were a team, rather than just individual employees. Also, the finance department had each others backs.
What I wish was different
I wish I had been able to see more around the entire hospital (not just my department) sooner.

Always work hard and make sure to do your work well because you do not want to let your teammates down.
