Equipment Intern

What I liked

I loved getting to interact with my coworkers and having my own desk. I also really loved that they educated us so highly on the company, its history, its goals, and their mission and vision. When I started working I was given the space and freedom to get things done at a pace that was good for me as long as I was meeting deadlines.

What I wish was different

Their program is only 2 years old now. I wish they had had some more solid programming and set project based deliverables or professional skill building activities.

Advice

This is a great company to work for but it is in a very niche area and unless you have biology and cell culture experience, you won't get to see that major aspect of the company up close. If you accept an internship offer with a specific department, it is likely that you will stay there.
