I loved the fast paced, engagement with customers, decision making and supportive environment that my co-workers provided me. I truly enjoyed working with everyone and receiving mentorship from my colleagues when I wasn’t the most knowledgeable about how taxes worked.
What I wish was different
I wish I was able to engage more with their public relations and social media department, but unfortunately they don’t currently have a very defined function for marketing which is what I’m interested in as a career path.
Advice
My one piece of advice is to always apply for the position even when you think that you’re not as skilled, or deserving of it. Life is never going to hand you the position so you’ve got to make the effort to bring the spotlight on you.
