This has been one of my favorite internships I’ve had because of the friendly people and welcoming environment. I was able to work with many people who were very knowledgeable and experienced across different departments. I also learned both technical and soft skills that I can carry with me to any future work I end up doing. I spent a lot of my time analyzing customer feedback data using Excel and presented ideas that I had for improving customers' experience.
What I wish was different
I wish that I could have started the internship two weeks earlier and worked for 12 weeks instead of 10 weeks because I would have possibly had bigger projects to work on and maybe even seen some of my ideas being implemented.
Advice
I have a "you never know until you try it" mentality, so I really wanted to experience new things during my summer jobs. During my internship at Continental Finance Company, I have learned that I actually do like working in an office environment, so my advice would be to try and experience as much as possible before having to decide what you want to do.
