I wish that the scheduling system was more organized with the employees in mind.

What I liked
I enjoyed working at a job that felt meaningful to me. This was a job that is relevant to my future plans and the experience I gained was extremely helpful.
What I wish was different
I wish my pay was slightly higher, but I do get a raise each year I return.
Advice
If you are not willing to work hard in hot weather, I would not advise working for the DEEP over the summer.

What I liked
I gained experience in a professional setting and I was doing real work! I heard horror stories of internships that consisted of getting coffee for people and making copies. This internship was not like that! I did research, wrote reports, and even gave a presentation to employees in other states on a regional issue.
What I wish was different
There's nothing I would have changed.
Advice
Don't be afraid to speak up when you notice something and put yourself out there when you have an idea. Your creativity and initiative is impressive and your employer wants to hear your thoughts.
