Being able to see what goes on in Washington D.C.
Advice
If you are a political science major this is a great way to learn about what goes on in Washington and what the roll of a Congressman is.

What I liked
I liked the hands-on experience I got from working on capitol hill. I got to meet many people and see how the congressional office works.
What I wish was different
I had taken on almost 30 hours of week while being a full time student so I wish I had either cut back on hours or done this type of internship during the summer when I was not taking classes.
Advice
Take on opportunity that comes your way. Every staff member in a political needs help with something so you can ask and create a network relationship with staff.
