My experience with CMF was honestly great and truly transformative for my personal network and endeavors! The tight knit work environment was perfect and I was able to get to know most of my colleagues-- and work with the majority of them on substantive projects. I was able to refine my skills with microsoft excel and office 360, was introduced to salesforce, and gained a behind the scenes look at the inner-workings of Congress. Overall, was a great experience and I will remain in touch with my colleagues!
What I wish was different
Although I was able to perform substantive work nonetheless, this internship was remote and it was sometimes a challenge to manage my own time and feel truly connected.
Advice
Make sure to ask your colleagues questions whether it's about a project assignment or their own personal experiences, especially if you're interested in pursuing a career on Capitol Hill-- they have many insights to offer!
