What I liked

I began as a social media intern at Confidently, but quickly had the opportunity to work in data privacy operations. Confidently is a small start up which gives me the opportunity to be innovative in an emerging industry. I also was able to connect with other interns, people my age with similar professional interests.

What I wish was different

I wish there were a bit more structure, but ultimately the flexibility was an asset.

Advice

Working at a small start up was a great way for me to break into the professional world. I have been able to meet important people in the industries I want to work in. Consumer privacy is an interesting and important new industry which connects to a lot of ideas I learn about in school.
