What I liked

I started my internship at CoNexus CPA during the tax season in 2019 it has truly been a great experience. All the employees are very involved in our work. They are nice and always willing to help you. Even though it was an accounting internship they had me working on 401(k) audits (you’ll get the opportunity to visit a client site for the audit) and tax returns (individual and entity returns). I think it is a great place to work and this is an opportunity that rewards hard work.

What I wish was different

Advice

They will guide the way for you to be successful in your career. Always have a positive attitude. Also, don't forget to take notes!

What I liked

I've been interning with CoNexus for the past 8 months. I began my internship during the 2019 tax season. I have worked on a variety of things which include 401K audits, tax preparation, putting together financials statements, and QuickBooks. Being that CoNexus is a medium-sized firm an intern will experience working on many different accounting projects. Everyone here is also willing to help you succeed in school and work.

What I liked

I enjoyed the people at CoNexus. Everyone was willing to help, answer questions, and had an open door policy. I also appreciated the vast variety of work experience I was exposed to. CoNexus had me working on tax, audit, and accounting work. From preparing individual tax returns to editing financial statements, CoNexus gave me real-world experience and prepared me for stepping into a staff position.
