I loved learning more about how nonprofits function behind the scenes. It wasn't something I was very knowledgeable of and I get plenty of opportunities to learn.
What I wish was different
I wish I had been able to do a bit more writing-intensive work. I mainly worked to organize numbers and copy them down. It was good to learn about that but I do prefer writing-intensive work.
Advice
Take every opportunity that you get! Whether it's sitting in on a meeting or collaborating on a new project, all of the experiences I had furthered my professional development.

What I liked
I enjoyed learning about the non-profit space along with working and collaborating on projects that gave me great hands-on experience. I also appreciated working with the Marketing and Events teams which really allowed me to gain exposure to more than just one specific area of CSTA, and everyone I worked with was very encouraging and supportive throughout the internship.
