The job is gives you an immense amount of independence and creative freedom. I'm constantly tasked with new and exciting responsibilities that challenge me and enable me to push myself to be a better designer.
What I wish was different
I sometimes wish I was able to design for a higher end market, and incorporate certain design elements that typically go along with such a demographic. Even so, I love what I do and am excited to go to work everyday.
Advice
I would say to do anything and everything that will allow them to get their feet wet. Unpaid internships are truly frustrating and taxing but, if it's something that's financially feasible for a short-period of time, they're a great opportunity to get some fresh, exciting experience and exit your comfort zone.
