I learned a lot regarding how to work with children and families, how to properly document files and information, the importance of using social work values in everyday work.
What I wish was different
The COVID-19 pandemic affected how often we could see students and, at times, how we could meet with students (many times meetings had to be virtual).
Advice
Take notes, be intentional, do your research on resources and techniques in working with students and family of a certain ethnicity and surrounding area (zip code).
