What I liked

The flexibility is amazing and they really try to pair you with a client who you will bond with. I have been with my client since July and we have such a great time together. We go out to eat, go shopping, and other fun activities. You often get close to their family members as well. It is such a unique CNA role that I highly suggest to students on the pre-medical track. It provided me new insights and passions within the healthcare field!

What I wish was different

The pay is a little low for CNA work, but it is way less grueling that working in the hospital (I have experience with both!).

Advice

If you aren't comfortable with a patient, in the beginning, let the office know. They will work hard to pair you with someone that you will have a great connection with.

What I liked

I love connecting with people and spending time helping people with daily tasks they would otherwise not be able to do.

What I wish was different

I wish I was able to chose what clients I work with. I have had a few that can be pretty difficult to work with. You have to have thick skin in this line of work.

Advice

If you love helping people and you want to increase experience in health care, this is definitely the job for you. They are very flexible with your schedule so it is easy to balance school with this job.

What I liked

I get to help people and make them happy. My clients teach me things and I teach them things. You make your own schedule. It is very flexible. There are many clients near by, which saves lots of gas.
