I only wish I had more time to be there and learn more skills.
Advice
Have patience with yourself if this is your first time doing research. You will make mistakes because that's just a part of the process. Eventually, you will know the techniques like the back of your hand and you will get the hang of it.

What I liked
I enjoyed working in a laboratory setting outside of the classroom. I had wonderful hands-on mentoring. I was able to disover what a career in medical research would look like.
What I wish was different
I wish I had time to work with scientists in other departments in order to get a more holistic view of the research industry.
Advice
Communication is key when working with a mentor. Make sure to ask questions and let them know if you don't understand something.

The academic enrichment resources, exposure to various medical disciplines and the networking opportunities that I was provided with. This program not only allow me to network with professionals and build relationships with mentors but also allowed me to form life-long friendships with my cohort.
