What I liked
Working in new and scenic places with a great crew doing work I love. Had the opportunity to camp in all kinds of new places and add tons of new experiences to my resume.
What I wish was different
As with almost any field work position, the schedule can be a little unpredictable, and there were definitely some long days, but I can honestly say "no regrets."
Advice
Networking is key in many of the fields in natural resources, the position I filled was never advertised. Work your professional organization and exercise your professional contacts. Also: a positive attitude goes a long way during a long day/week.
