The Colorado Eagles are a member of the American Hockey League (AHL), the 'AAA' hockey league. Based out of Loveland, Colorado and the top affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche. Founded in 2003 by 6-time Stanley Cup winner, Ralph Backstrom, this year the Eagles enter into a 21st season. After winning Consecutive ECHL Kelly Cup Championships in 2016-17 and 2017-18, the Eagles moved to the AHL for the 2018-19 season. The Colorado Eagles' goal is to provide the best in family affordable entertainment and support the communities of Northern Colorado.
