I really enjoyed being exposed to all of the different career fields located in Parks and Recreation. I did everything from run the Info Booth during the Coconino County Fair to being involved in the Coconino County Master Plan process.
What I wish was different
It is kind of difficult being an Intern in the "slow season" (from about October to March) because there is less to help out with. Being an intern in the summer when there are a lot of camps and events being produced would probably be more beneficial.
Advice
The biggest piece of advice I have is to just keep an open mind and to communicate effectively with your supervisor. Your supervisor won't know if you're enjoying your experience or what kind of experiences you may think you're missing out on unless you tell them.
