The other workers were open to newcomers and worked well with me. Installing turf taught me a lot about how a work project is planned and carried out. I also learned how to address quality control issues.
What I wish was different
The project fell behind schedule for several reasons, including some that were out of our hands as workers. We had to push ourselves constantly to try to make up the lost time and labor.
Advice
This is a job that is labor intensive and turf can get extremely hot during the summer, so be prepared for heat and sweat.
