What I wish was different
Nothing, I had a great experience.
Advice
Go out of your comfort zone! Healthcare consulting wasn't my "dream" but I knew I loved the healthcare in general and I wanted to see another side of it. This did exactly that for me and gave me a much broader understanding of how insurance and hospitals work.

Associate Intern
June - September 2017 • San Francisco, CA
What I liked
As an intern at Triage, you are treated as a full time employee. You are given the freedom to learn by doing, to jump right into your work, and challenged to act as a full time consultant by day one. I was given the opportunity to travel to the client site every other week, take on personal projects and help with reporting periods, and even had a presentation day where I presented to principals of the company. The professional development offered is unparalleled.
What I wish was different
The industry is fairly niche. Be sure you love healthcare and finance. The day to day work is pretty analytical, so make sure you are also analytical minded. Also, the intern program is small, so you don't necessarily work with other interns, which is both a pro and a con.
Advice
Jump right into the work and learn as much as you can at the beginning! The learning curve is steep but the opportunities that open after you learn the work well are amazing!
