Being a camp counselor the past few summers has helped me gain leadership experience and learn how to work in a very flexible and time consuming environment. It also has given me the opportunity to spend all of my summer outdoors teaching activities I love while still being paid.
What I wish was different
Being a Music Business major, this summer job is not very applicable to what I want to do in my future.
Advice
Don't be afraid to work jobs that don't necessarily apply to your future career plans. Especially if it is a job as a camp counselor, there are a lot of personal skills that can be gained from jobs like these.
