Software Engineering Intern

What I liked
Clearwater has a well run intern program. On my team we had 8 interns and 2 team leads, and worked on two projects. It was awesome to work on a team and learn more about my strengths and weaknesses.
The team leads were great, and gave me a lot of personal time and advice. I know they wanted to help the interns as much as possible.
What I wish was different
A bit longer to work on our project would have been nice. It felt incomplete when we stopped: another two weeks and we could have had added a few more important features.
Advice
Try to learn as much as you can. The other interns on my team taught me a lot. Be confident in what you know, and humble about what you don't know.

Advice
This internship was a specific project on a team comprised of interns and two team leads who were full time engineers. The experience was valuable as far as having ownership over a project, getting some good team programming experience, etc. but since it was arranged like that, we felt pretty isolated from the rest of the company as a whole.

Software Development Intern
May - August 2019 • Boise, ID
What I liked
There are great learning experiences at Clearwater, and they strive for the best in technology and the strongest design. I also enjoyed the work-life balance there.
What I wish was different
Honestly, it was an amazing internship.
Advice
Internships are AMAZING. The learning that comes out of an internship is SO valuable, so get involved in as many internships as you can while as a student. It could help you know what you want to do and avoid a midlife crisis later if you start on the wrong path (a path on a career that you do not enjoy).

Software Developer Intern
May - August 2019 • Boise, ID
What I liked
My team of ~8 interns was lead by 2 full-time developers. We had full access to their knowledge and experience to help us succeed.
What I wish was different
I wish the internship was longer. It didn't start until 1 month after school ended, and it ended 1 month before school started, so there were 2 full months this Summer where I had to find something else to do for work.
Advice
Explore the city and go out to have fun with your team after work hours.
